ArtAbility Classes
St George Art Society ‘ArtAbility’ Classes are held on the second, third and sometimes the 4th Tuesday in each month (if there are 5 Tuesdays in a particular month).
These 2 hourly sessions starting from 2pm are conducted by Angela Iliadis. Each class explores a variety of styles and techniques using various mediums including mixed media.
These friendly and supportive classes cost just $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
Don’t forget to bring your own materials.
Two ArtAbility Classes were held in June, by Angela Iliadis; the 9th and 16th.

This month we had three sessions of ArtAbility.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in some or all of them.
ArtAbility is great in that every participant turns up with their own
reference image or still life set up and chooses what medium to work with.
During the class they are offered suggestions and guidance as requested.
Sometimes participants work on the same artwork for weeks.
In the end, they have an artwork that they chose to do.

ArtAbility Class held on Tuesday 18th March, 2025
The participants come to our ArtAbility sessions prepared with their own reference photos for landscapes or portraits, and some may have objects to set up a still life.
We work on various techniques, styles and mediums which include pen and wash on paper, drawing with graphite, mixed media or collage to mention just a few.
During each lesson, Angela offers each participant constructive feedback and assistance when required.
ArtAbility is not only about developing each individual’s artistic skills, it is also an enjoyable time to socialise and connect with like-minded people.

This class caters for all skill levels. We welcome beginners to more experienced artists.

The main focus at this session was drawing with Indian ink and then adding some collage.
Another enjoyable afternoon with many interesting artworks produced.

At our first class this year, participants continued working on their own projects, using a variety of mediums.
It was a lovely afternoon full of joy and creativity.
