St George Art Society is fortunate to have several well-known artists as members who teach regularly. Their classes are available to you.
Angela Iliadis is an award-winning artist and an educator living in Sydney, Australia. Her works can be found in Australia and overseas. Angela has a Master of Education and a Master of Art and she works across a range of media and a variety of approaches, working predominantly in painting and drawing but also venturing into printmaking, digital photo art and collage.
Her works seek to use lines, colour and other elements of art and principals of design to create artworks that evoke feelings. She is inspired by nature, colour, lines and the creative process.
Her background and continued work in art education informs much of her expanded practice, focusing on teaching as a form of socially engaged art. She is interested in the relationship between approaches to teaching and approaches to making.

During the past twenty years Brian has expanding his artistic skill in art drawing and painting in a variety of mediums; watercolour, oil, acrylic, pastel, etc.
He feels however that some of his proudest and rewarding work has been in passing on his knowledge to others and says the act of taking raw talent and watching it grow is greatly enriching. Watching the development of a novice through the various stages and to witness the spark turn to fire as the student realises that the potential that was dormant has now found voice is illuminating.
SGAS Watercolour Classes with Brian Dickinson are designed for all artists from beginners to experienced watercolourists.
The next class will be on Thursday, 26th May from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Kogarah School of Arts. Bring your own materials.
