Salwa loves to paint from plein air or life and her portfolio includes a range of portraits, landscapes, seascapes, and figurative works. While she has used several different painting mediums, her favourite is oil colour.
During the last 20 years Salwa has developed her unique style emphasizing the interplay of light and shadow on the landscape. She uses both combination of brushes and palette knives creating an impressionistic style texture of thick against smooth paint and vibrant-bright against dark colours.
She has had many solo and group exhibitions and been awarded a number of prizes including the best overall prize and has contributed seven articles for the Australia Artist magazine about her paintings techniques. Salwa is an associate member of the Royal Art society of NSW.
