Artist’s Statement

Art has always been my passion.

I have expressed my artistry in many forms including: – Ceramics and folk art. However, it is in painting (and watercolour, in particular) where I have found the ultimate satisfaction and success.

Participating in workshops and classes under the direction of Yvonne Ferguson, Chan Dissanayake and more recently Paul McCarthy, to name a few, have been most rewarding.

The inclusion of ink in my watercolour art has provided enjoyment and I feel it adds an extra dimension to my craft

I have taken inspiration from “the group of seven – Canadian landscape artists” and find their works compliment my style.

I have successfully exhibited at Hazelhurst Gallery, Kogarah School of Arts and more recently at the St George Art Society exhibitions held at The Historic Tempe House.

As an active committee member of The St George Art Society (for over eight Years) I have enjoyed helping others pursue their artistic goals.
