ST. GEORGE ART SOCIETY SCHOOL MENTORING PROGRAM

SUPPORTING ARTISTS OF THE FUTURE

The “Make Your Mark” School Mentoring Program is an initiative of the St.George Art Society, designed to activate, engage and inspire creative thinking and art making by local young artists.

Participating High Schools:

  • Moorefield Girls High
  • James Cook Boys Technology High
  • George Girls High
  • Kogarah High School.

Mentoring and assistance is conducted by members of the St George Art Society. Students are given demonstrations and practical experience in the use of different media including acrylic, watercolour and sketching. Each student selects a media to use for a major artwork, which is then eligible for the St. George Art Society’s Outstanding Young Artist awards and exhibition at the Love Local Artisan Market and the SGAS Annual Art Show.
